The Exciting New Series of #1 & G-Scale Kadee® RC Couplers can be operated with your existing Kadee® magnetic uncouplers and also uncouple remotely anywhere with the Kadee® Radio Control System.


Clarifications about the The Kadee® RC Remote System & Kadee® RC Remote Couplers:
The Kadee® RC Remote System is a proprietary radio control system and is NOT DCC.
The Kadee® RC Remote Couplers are operated by standard hobby servos.
The Kadee® RC Remote System will operate standard hobby servos used with the Kadee® RC Remote Couplers.

The Kadee® RC Servo Controller adds servo control to DCC, or other locomotive control decoders with auxiliary/function output allowing DCC operation of Kadee® Remote Couplers.

Note: Do to risk of coupler over rotation, any other means of operating the Kadee® RC Remote Couplers other than a Kadee® RC Remote System or Kadee® RC #11130 Servo Controller will void the coupler warranty.


Kadee® RC Remote System

This Kadee® RC Remote System allows you communicate from the hand-held transmitter directly to the receiver module wirelessly using a radio control signal. This technology makes wireless automation versatile and easy.

 

#11215 Hand-Held Transmitter: The #11215 Hand-Held Transmitter is the Kadee-RC Remote uncoupling systems controller. The #11215 Hand-Held Transmitter is uniquely addressed so it will not interfere with other #11215 Hand-Held Transmitters. So there is no need to worry about any interference from club layouts where multiple #11215 Hand-Held Transmitters may be in use. Each #11215 Hand-Held Transmitter will operate up to 99 Remote Devices and has up to a 300’ range.

#11110 Wireless Receiver Module: For use with the #11215 Hand-Held Transmitter. Is available and has been designed to operate a standard hobby servo & operate its on-board 250mA relay from the #11215 hand-held transmitter. The receiver module operates from AA battery pack and the life of the batteries depend on a couple things. The quality of batteries used (mAh’s), the frequency of use and the mA draw. The receiver in standby mode should last for years on a good quality set of batteries. The on-board 250mA relay can be used to operate lights, switches and operate fixed speed motors, etc. (Out of Stock)

 

Wireless Relay Control Module with 64 Relay Capability: Is in final stages of development, The relay control module has a higher Amp capability than our wireless receiver module on-board relay and uses only one address to operate up to 64 relays saving the remote addresses.

 

Wireless Locomotive Controller: Is still in development. Operate variable speed motors remotely.

 


Kadee® RC Servo Controller

This Kadee® RC Servo Controller allows you control a Servo from DCC, AirWire, Bluetooth, or other locomotive control decoders with auxiliary/function output.

 

#11130 Servo Controller: The #11130 Servo Controller adds servo control to DCC, AirWire, Bluetooth, or other locomotive control decoders with auxiliary/function output. Allows control of Kadee® RC Remote Couplers (factory programmed), turnouts, crossing gates semaphores, windmills, water wheels, gondolas, trams, roundabouts, cranes, & drawbridges...

Note: The #11130 Servo Controller is equipped with a On-board 250mA Relay for lighting or other remote switching needs.


Kadee® RC Remote Couplers
We have developed three remote couplers that uses a standard hobby servos to operate the couplers uncoupling features.

 

#11115 G-Scale Remote Coupler (Body Mount Coupler Kit): Is a general kit for most rolling stock were appropriate mounting space allows. The kits suppled #906 couplers that will body mount anywhere a #830 coupler will. The car can be setup to remotely operate a single coupler or both couplers simultaneously.

We recommend using the Kadee® RC Remote System (#11215 Kadee® RC Hand-Held Transmitter & #11110 Receiver Kit) or our Kadee® RC #11130 Servo Controller (factory programed) to operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers with DCC (Digital Command Control), AirWire, Bluetooth, or other locomotive control decoders with auxiliary/function output. to operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers.


The other option is using a non Kadee® RC Servo Controller*. There are Locomotive Controllers (whether being DCC, radio controlled, wifi or some other means) that have Servo Controllers* built in that can operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers. There are Digital Command Control (DCC) decoders with built in Servo Controller* & (DCC) Servo Decoders* that can used to operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers. Radio Control Servo Controllers* also can operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers as well. There will be limited technical support we could provide.
*The Servo Controller must be operate at a 90 degree servo rotation that is adjustable.

 

#11220 G-Scale Remote Coupler (Actuated Body Mount Coupler with Gearbox):

This coupler is for locomotives & rolling stock were appropriate mounting space allows. Is an factory assembled self contained coupler & Gearbox with built in ultra nano servo for locomotives & most rolling stock. The #11220 Coupler will body mount anywhere a #830 coupler will mount and can be custom body mounted to most locomotives. The car can be setup to remotely operate a single coupler or a second coupler (sold separately) simultaneously with the use of a servo Y splitter cable.

We recommend using the Kadee® RC Remote System (#11215 Kadee® RC Hand-Held Transmitter & #11110 Receiver Kit) or our Kadee® RC #11130 Servo Controller (factory programed) to operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers with DCC (Digital Command Control), AirWire, Bluetooth, or other locomotive control decoders with auxiliary/function output. to operate Kadee® RC Remote Couplers.

Remote Uncoupling
Stop car(s) on desired track, allowing slack to occur between the couplers. Press the on the transmitter and open the remote coupler**.
The remote coupler draws itself apart, uncoupling them.
Withdraw to disengage couplers, leaving uncoupled car(s) on desired track. Press the on the transmitter and close the remote coupler**.
* Limited uncoupling on curves.
** The receiver that controls coupler must be addressed, before it can receive commands from transmitter.
